365 Project
I’ve, possibly foolishly, started a 365 project for 2017. If you’re not familiar with the concept it’s a project some photographers undertake to free themselves from the confines of what they have to shoot and allow themselves to play a little.
Camera manuals and, errm, Donald Rumsfeld
With my new camera, I received this well-thumbed manual. I’m the third owner of my D700, that I’m aware of, so it’s been well used. It’s often said, but truly worth repeating, that even an experienced photographer won’t get the best out of their camera unless they read the manual.

The rainy bank holiday, in the British psyche, is the epitome of British pessimism. The average Brit expects it to rain on a bank holiday because 'it’s miserable here that’s the worst thing that can happen', right? Well, as it transpires, no. I like everyone else had been watching the weather forecasts and had bemoaned the approaching weather.
