On Saturday, 1st June, anyone with a camera was invited to take part in Gravesham’s first ‘Day in the Life’ shoot, part of the Gravesham Fringe Festival. The aim is to make it an annual event documenting the changes in the borough from year to year.
I took portraits of shopkeepers in some of Gravesend’s small shops. Thank you to all those who agreed to take part. I had the pleasure of meeting some lovely people and learning a little about the history of some of Gravesend’s longest-established small shops.
Munns, a family owned business and Gravesend’s longest established shop, sells a huge range of stationery, arts and craft materials, gifts cards, picture framing, copying; the list goes on.
