Print Edition Three: The 2024 Election

This is the latest print edition of The Gravesend Journal. The first two were based on longer-term projects, The Table and Gravesend’s Lost Pubs. This third edition tells the story of the recent 2024 General Election.

As before, copies are available at cost, £4.50 including UK postage. I want to make it affordable for anyone who may be interested. If you genuinely can’t justify spending that amount on a magazine, I know some people can’t, please get in touch. I usually have a couple of spare copies.

All the images in the print edition and more are shown in the election posts Gravesham Election Hustings 2024, Labour Win in Gravesham and Gravesham General Election 2024 Round-up.

“The rain got heavier, and Rishi Sunak’s bespoke suit became the focus of attention. I presumed that he’d just fired the starting gun on what would be one of Gravesham’s most closely fought elections in recent history.

According to the polls, Gravesham would have a new Member of Parliament for the first time in 14 years. The polls were correct; we have a new MP, but it wasn’t the battle I expected.”

Thank you to everyone who has bought the first two editions.

I’m keen to cover any important local story. Please get in touch if you have a story to share or a subject that needs highlighting.
